Can I interview the caregiver before accepting care?
Yes. In order to fully satisfy your needs, we recommend that all patients interview their caregivers. If you don’t feel a caregiver is a good match, let us know and we’ll recommend someone else.
Can you send someone within 24 hours?
Our quick response team can arrange services in less than 24 hours when you call 877-871-0011.
Will your employee call before arriving?
In the case of new clients, our employees call before arriving, but after you have an established relationship with a caregiver, the caregiver will simply arrive on schedule.
Do you provide worker’s compensation insurance?
Yes, all our caregivers are covered by worker’s compensation insurance.
Are the workers who come into the home insured?
Yes, all our caregivers have liability coverage.
Do you have proof of liability coverage?
Yes, we can provide proof of liability coverage upon request.
Is Angel Care licensed or certified?
Yes, we are licensed in the counties we serve.
How are caregivers assigned?
We assign caregivers according to patients’ needs. During our initial assessment, we will gain a thorough understanding of your needs so that we can recommend the best caregiver for you.
How do you screen your caregivers?
Screening is an essential part of hiring. We perform thorough background checks and review the references of all potential employees prior to hiring them.
What kind of training do your caregivers receive?
All our caregivers receive a thorough orientation by a supervisor on safety issues, agency procedures, and care goals and standards before placement.
What are the qualifications of the person who will do my initial assessment?
Your initial assessment will be performed by a RN or someone who has at least a year of experience in the home health care field. To do the special assessment required by your insurance, a RN will be assigned.
Do caregivers write daily care notes with a copy left for the client and eligible family members?
All our caregivers are required to write down some notes about what they did that week and how the patient is doing. The patient has to sign the report. This report can be sent to the family if requested.
Are care notes reviewed regularly?
Yes. For quality assurance, we regularly review all care notes.
Are your caregivers experienced in any special services?
Some of our caregivers are experienced in special services. Such as?
Can your caregivers speak languages other than English, if needed?
Yes. In addition to English, we also speak Spanish and French.
Are caregivers supervised? If so, by whom?
All our caregivers are supervised. We do supervisory visits every month. At each supervisory visit, the written care plan specifying each caregiver’s routine and duties is reviewed.
Does the agency have a time card system?
Yes. Our time card system guarantees caregiver hours are counted accurately and that billing is performed correctly.
What happens if my caregiver gets sick?
If your caregiver is sick and cannot come to work, we will send a back-up caregiver. We are always ready to respond immediately to any situation that may arise.
What if I’m not satisfied with the services of my caregiver?
Your satisfaction is our primary goal. If you are not satisfied, we want to hear from you. If you’d like to switch caregivers, we will assign a new caregiver—no questions asked. |
